EcoSylk is the world’s first luxury carpet produced from regenerated yarn, recycled from the thousands of tonnes of carpet and rugs sent to landfill or incineration each year.
Used throughout almost all of our ranges, EcoSylk retains the award-winning characteristics of our innovative NuSilk micro-fibre system, while delivering on our pledge to be an environmentally conscious brand.
As a ‘no compromise’ brand we are supporting designers to create interior spaces that are not only suited to their clients’ needs but also minimise their impact on the environment.
The regeneration process employed in EcoSylk consists of separating the three main componence which are nylon, polypropylene and calcium, the nylon is cleaned and extruded into EcoSylk the polypropylene goes to the automobile industry for injection moulding and the calcium goes to the building industry and is used in concrete and plaster – nothing is wasted!
A wider commitment
We have made a strong commitment to being reducers, rather than producers of waste. As such we are also recycling carpets that we have already produced and installed.
All that is required from the customer is that they return the carpet to our facilities or a prearranged collection point so that it can be recycled and turned back into beautiful new designs.
Every inch of carpet we collect will be regenerated into EcoSylk, creating new fibres that are as stunning as the virgin yarn used to create their award-winning NuSilk fibre.
No other carpet producer in the luxury market has made such a considerable pledge to reduce waste!
