In recent days, SYLKA has been shortlisted for a prestigious award at the upcoming International Yacht and Aviation Awards. The good news comes after the team helped to completely transform the interior of a rare, 53-metre superyacht.
As part of a refit led by prominent Polish designer O&O European Design, our team fitted luxury carpets throughout the Galaxy of Happiness – a luxury motor yacht best known for being the world’s largest trimaran.
Using our new Hand-Tufted service, the team were able to fit sumptuous carpets throughout the vessel which featured a bespoke logo carved into the design by highly skilled artisans.
The quality of the design seriously impressed the judging panel at the International Yacht and Aviation Awards – which is why our team have been named as a finalist in the flooring category at this year’s awards.
The news comes at a time when SYLKA’s marine division is quickly gaining a strong reputation across the superyacht sector, impressing builders, designers, owners and crew alike with our high-quality and hardwearing carpets.
Thanks to the innovative NuSilk™ microfiber we use, our carpets can easily withstand sun damage and spillages, including salt water, making our products ideal for boats and yachts.
Our products’ ability to withstand heavy foot traffic also makes our carpets a great fit for charter vessels.
In order to be in with a chance of winning the award, SYLKA needs to secure enough votes before Wednesday 16 May 2018.
